Justin Charles developed an exclusive line of integrated insulation layers made with super-fine merino wool. By focusing on the unique performance needs of the true outdoorsman, we've created a system that regulates body temperature in changing conditions and varying levels of exertion.
Combining the natural insulating and wicking properties of wool with modern textile processes, we've created comfortable, durable garments that don't itch, shrink or retain odor. The Lightweight Base Layer is engineered to wick away sweat and body vapor before you feel damp. The Midweight Thermal Layer provides superior warmth retention and automatically reacts to body temperature. The Expedition Weight Overlayer is densely woven and wind-resistant to provide comfort in exceptionally frigid weather. All three layers can be mixed or worn alone for versatility in all conditions.
When outdoorsmen are actively hiking, skiing or paddling, the wool fibers wick sweat away in its odorless state—something synthetics can't do. When riding the chairlift to the peak or waiting for the floatplane to dock, millions of tiny air pockets in the fibers trap body heat and regulate temperature. When you're warm and dry, your body conserves energy so you can stay out longer—enjoying the great outdoors.
