In extreme cold, selecting the right layering system leaves no room for error. That’s why we created our dense, wind-resistant Expedition Weight Crew and Zip Mock T Neck Tops—the final insulating layer in our integrated system. In the frigid outdoors, millions of tiny wool fibers hold in your body heat. Its flat-stitched seams eliminate chafing when you’re on the move. Made with our itch-free, naturally odor-free Merino wool, it’s an essential piece of cold weather outdoor gear. Both tops can be worn as a casual sweatshirt. Cold water machine washable. Hang dry.

  • Absorbs and releases body moisture
  • Dense knit construction resists wind and cold
  • Brushed back retains body heat
  • Does not retain body odor
  • Natural stretch

Dear Customer Service: I wanted to write to tell you how very satisfied I am with your products. I have been wearing your expedition weight Crew shirt and pants while working the midnight shift. With temps dropping below -10 degrees your products were worth their weight in gold...!! The guys I work with were all asking why the heck I wasn't wearing a jacket, and I just replied, "Justin Charles is keeping me warm tonight." Of course then I had to explain what I meant by that. Suffice it to say there will probably be a few more orders for your products coming in the near future. The workmanship and quality of your products are top notch, and I have no problems recommending your line to everyone I talk to about cold weather clothing. Keep up the good work. I own all three layers of the Justin Charles Merino wool underwear. I use it for winter league trap shooting and Telemark back country skiing and everyday wear around the house ( when i can get it away from everyone else in the house). The Expedition weight is extremely versatile as a sweater and a final layer for long days outside. My everyday shirt is the midweight. This is the core of my cold weather clothing. I am never cold or overly hot. It regulates my body temperature. No polyester underwear comes close and I have owned the best. Try it once and you will never go back to synthetics. It is no stink, warm even when wet and it the most comfortable product available. The cut of the underwear is true to size and allows for layering. The Lightweight is more like silk than wool. I didn't know wool could be made to feel like this stuff. I recommend buying the crew for base layer and the zip tees for mid and expedition. Better get more than one set if you want it for yourself or better yet buy it for everyone and avoid getting yours stolen! Joe C

I have field tested Justin Charles merino wool layering system in Canada, Alaska, all across the lower 48, and believe it or not, Hawaii. The temperature range fluctuated between minus 0 degrees Fahrenheit to the mid 70's. This underwear system is in a league of its own. The Justin Charles merino wool system packs easily, is adaptable through layering to match temperature ranges, and has kept me comfortably warm in even the most extreme conditions. As a bow hunter, the thing I love most is the scent control advantage that it gives me. In Alaska I wore the same shirt and pants for 7 straight days, living out of tent camps on gravel bars while hunting grizzly bear. At the end of the trip, the underarms of my shirt yielded only a small fraction of scent compared to all other clothing I have worn, including brands that market scent control. I am a Justin Charles user for life!! Dr. Jimmy Sites, Producer/Host of Award Winning C'Mere Deer Spiritual Outdoor Adventures TV & Radio Program.
